Chateau Mont Saint Fort 2005

Member Review by BobbyC10:

Intense cherry flavor, with hints of chocolate and pepper. A unique semi spicy taste. Very good wine, eat with spicy food, good edam cheese

My grandparents were Italian immigrants who cared for me during my pre-school years. They never owned a refrigerator. Therefore, they did not keep milk in the house. So I started drinking wine at a very early age, around 3 to 5 years, usuall mixed half & half with water. As a 72 year old geezer, I still enjoy wine, especially with meals. But I have never studied it, or pretended to be an expert. I just drink it and remember special ones that become my favorites. I am prejudice against French wines, Vermouth and Brandy, but drink it only because it is the best. Damn! After consuming my first bottle of Chateau Mont Saint Fort Bordeau (2005) and unable to recall where I got it or what I paid for it, I ended up on this website lookint to see where I can get more. It is the newest edition to my favorites. Unfortuately, it is French, and everywhere I have looked so far, it is more expensive than what I like to pay for daily fare. Having said that, I need to stop writing this and get on with finding more of this beautiful wine at a better price. HJT, Virginia Beach. Read less

Very little flavor. Dark color, but thin flavor. I usually like French wines and am quite forgiving. This one is a loser.

One glass

This is a merlot-based Bordeaux blend with a ripe fruit palate and supple tannins.
