User Reviews for Château Monestier la Tour Bergerac Blanc

Winemaker's Notes:

"Coming from old vines, this wine shows complex, floral, fruity flavours, subtly supported by a fleshy structure acquired by barrel ageing. To be enjoyed with roast poultry, fish cooked in sauce, blanquette de veau, fresh goat’s cheese or fruit tarts..." Winemakers' notes "A blend of 50% Semillon, 35% Sauvignon Blanc, and 15% Muscadelle. Stephane Derenoncourt consults here with up-and-coming winemaker Michelle D’Aprix handling the winemaking. Light yellow. Pretty aromas of yellow flowers, lemons, roasted grains, and a hint of vanilla extract. Nearly full-bodied. Quite dry and sappy on the palate, with lush guava flavors that finish nearly sweet. Pairs nice with fish and dry cheeses, this is a great summer white to enjoy poolside..." SWJ 08/12
