Chateau Mirambeau-Papin Bordeaux Superieur 2010

Winemaker's Notes:

"While the alcohol is high and the wine powerful, it has managed to retain its linear, structured character. The result is a concentrated wine that also has acidity and a juicy blackberry fruit character. It does need to age, so don't drink before 2016." 89 Points Wine Enthusiast

Château Mirambeau-Papin:
Xavier Landeau has been managing the estate since 1995. He acquired the ownership, with the strong will to continue in the wine tradition, which has been respected by the same family since the beginning of nineteenth century. He aims to extract the best of the natural characteristics by taking into account the varying plots, grape varieties and plant density offering complementary personalities, full of typical expression.

Nicely spiced and oaked, this is herbal and earthy in the glass, showing dark black currant and bramble fruit with hints of licorice. Tartly focussed in the palate, and shifting to more red fruit flavors of cranberry, raspberry and herbal notes of licorice, this has a pleasant tannic chew and a ripe finish with cream and dark chocolate.
