Chateau Minuty Rose et Or 2018

Winemaker's Notes:

"A serious rosé with cinnamon, thyme and sea salt adding complexity to the more familiar nectarines and red peaches. The palate shows some real weight and structure, where the phenolics and direct acidity channel the layered citrus and stone fruit through to a textured, quite oily finish. Drink now."- James Suckling *(92 points)*"A blend of 90% Grenache and 10% Tibouren, the 2018 Cotes de Provence Rose Rose et Or is a step up from the M de Minuty, offering more ripeness, concentration and flavor. Hints of red berries and yellow peaches appear on the nose, while the fleshy, light to medium-bodied palate is rounded out by melon flavors and capped off by gentle citrus notes."- Joe Czerwinski, _Wine Advocate_ *(89 points)*"Orange and mango notes are aromatic and floral-infused in this tangy rosé, with spice and anise details lingering on the glossy finish. Grenache and Tibouren. Drink now. 1,911 cases imported."- _Wine Spectator_ *(88 points)*

Château Minuty is a wine estate in Saint-Tropez in the Provence district of France. The château was established in 1936 by Gabriel Farnet. In 1955, the rosé, for which the estate is known, propelled it to be included in the 23 Cru Classé des Côtes de Provence. Farnet’s son, Etienne Matton, became president of the winery around that time, and sought to restrict grape yields and place emphasis on quality control. His sons Jean-Etienne and François-Matton now oversee the winery.  Though not certified organic, the wine is produced without the use of additional chemicals, pesticides and fertilizers. The estate is best known for its high quality rosés, but they also produce dry red and white wines.  Read less
