Ripe, Plum, Spice, Great Bordeaux, Ready to Drink
Enjoyed a bottle last night with Grilled Lamb and a NY Strip Steak. Paired excellently with both. Ready to drink!
A little dry. Great aroma & flavor.
Absolutely delicious. This wine would be excellent when paired braised lamb and rosemary, but it doesn't need to be - It could easily be enjoyed by on it own!
Immediate jam on the nose, dark berry fruit characteristics, dark chocolate cassis - mostly cab sauv. Full bodied with a lot of tannins
Beautiful nose, with blackcurrant, spice, leather, and cigar box. Blackcurrant on the palate too, as well as red cherries, earthy notes, spice, medium+ acidity, and fairly grippy tannins still, so will keep the other bottle in the cellar for a few years still. Nice complexity and excellent length.
We had a magnum of this last night with Osso Bucco at a dinner party. It was lovely. Smooth, velvety, rich, luscious fruit and nose. Maybe the bad review from 08 was a bottle that wasn't aging well? We all agreed the magnum is a perfect drinker right now.

This has concentration and depth, with a very gravelly undertow to the dark plum and cassis fruit, all framed by a mouthwatering tobacco edge. Shows depth and drive on the finish.-J.M. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2011 Meyney 3000ml
This is the best Meyney in years with blackberry, mint and minerals on the nose and palate. Full and super silky, with a long, long finish. Wonderful wine. James Suckling. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2010 Meyney 1500ml
