Meyney is a often hard when young, though it can age for decades in a good vintage. This one is savory and tart, with a bitter raspberry flavor. A rasp of sweet oak, pepper and black cherry combine in the finish. Put it away for ten years, then serve with roast meats.

Typical of Saint-Estèphe, this wine is totally closed up. It is more tannins than fruit at this stage of its development. But it is obvious that there is fruit there, and that it will develop. But for now, it's a case of watch this space.

Love the spicy, nutmeg and floral nose to this. Medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a medium finish. Tight now, but should come around. Should be a bit better. Best after 2007.

This beautiful wine shows cassis, berry and citrus aromas and flavors, medium tannins and a long, crisp finish. Drink after 1996.

Lush, jammy mouthfeel, a full-bodied silky wine packed with flavors of blackberry, earth and Cabernet Franc spiciness. Bright ruby fruits and a sweet black cherry nose. This wine is a treat to sip over several hours.

Winemaker's Notes:

A Mirage of velvety fruit characters with black cherry and blackberry compote on a bed of vanilla and almonds. A well textured and balanced wine, the palate is silky smooth with a lingering chocolate filled finish.
