Chateau Maupague Saint Victoire Provence 2007

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

80% Grenache, 20% Cinsault - Dusty and earthy on the nose with toasty, dried floral tone, a pinch of white pepper sand a hint of peach. Rather opulent in the mouth, really smooth an round with lovely gently fruit tones, peach and light berry with a shading of orange peel, but his really is seductively textured. The finish has more orange character and is nicely long with a gentle mineral tone and that dusting of white pepper from the nose on the finale. On the mid-palate there is a subtle suggestion of darker fruit that floats out aromatically over the finish. 90pts

Luscious, clean strawberry aromas. Crisp and clean palate which turns to cream at the end, but leads with hints of cranberry and lemon. Slightly effervescent.

Bright, ripe peachy aroma, w/ banana and pineapple acidity on the palate. Pear flavors on the long and satisfying finish.

Lovely coral hue. Lots of floral and strawberry notes, a little pear. Long finish.

Funky nose with a bit of peachy cream; nice touch of minerality.

66000 produced.
