Château Massamier La Mignarde Minervois-La Livinière Tenement des Garouilhas(2001)

Decanted two hours before drinking. Dark ruby bordering on purple in color. The nose was very tight at first but after 2 hours in the decanter in really started to open. Blueberries turning to violets on the nose with a hint of vanilla. The vanilla faded as the perfume of the violets took over. Full bodied with nice structure. Plums and minerals on the palate. This wine continued to improve and open over the hour and a half it was consumed. Best to wait a couple of years for the oak to fully integrate.
