This is the last of my dad's case, purchased in 1968. We were all amazed at how easily the cork came out, and how instantly perfumed the wine appeared. After decanting, beautiful aromas of mushrooms, pine, moss and violets shined. There was a hint of blackberry on the palate, but it fell very short. Most of the fruit was gone. Like watching a silent screen star attempt an awkward talkie, most of the beauty had faded, but you could sense a whisper of what it was. Wish we'd opened this 10 years ago.
