Opened this one 'early', probably should have let it in the cellar for a few more years, but I didn't. Let it decante for about 1 hour. Pours a dark violet/purple color with really dark red hues on the edges. Aromas of blackberries, blueberries, cherries and raspberries. This starts with a nice amount of blackberry jam on the palate. In the middle, the dark and light berries intensify. On the back end, there are more jam flavors with some lighter cherries coming through with an slight undertone of vanilla and currants. This leaves a nice moderate lingering on the palate. Nicely structure with some soft tannins. Definitely worth opening now but I can see this aging nicely in the future.

Blackberry and raspberry jam aromas follow through to a full body, with very soft tannins and pretty berry and currant character. This is seamless and well done for the vintage. Best after 2012. 8,330 cases made. -JS, Top 100 2009 ** SOLD OUT **
Eleganter, feiner Geschmack. Am Gaumen tanninreich, fein, rassig, vollmundig.
