We had a magnum bottle of Malescot's 1985 vintage the other day... The wine was excellent ! A wonderful margaux-bouquet with elegant scents of plum and cassis. A chocolaty palate, still with fruity notes of plum-compots. Did not decant the wine. Easily lasted 2hrs in bottle until dinner was finished and all Bordeaux-lovers at the table were happy :-).
