Chateau Malecasse 2006
Rare, hard to find, perfectly aged, and ready for drinking. Jancis Roinson writes, "This wine has a delicate floral nose and uniquely complex fruit. Soft and round before the pretty dry tannins kick in.” Chateau Malescasse is located at the highest point in the commune of Lamarque. Their cellars are equipped to store the wines in the best possible conditions. The terroir lies on the finest crest in the commune, composed of top grade gravel soil.
Food Pairings for Chateau Malecasse
Following the acclaimed 2005 vintage, the 2006 shows elegance and restraint. The nose is extremely complex with aromas and flavors of perfectly picked red fruits, black fruits, along with oak, smoke, and leather. The tannins and acidity are balanced, making this wine perfect to drink now. Best served with a cheese souffle, a beef steak with shallots or dare to drink it with some fried chicken! 13% Alc.
