I bought this bottle of wine from the website www.bidforwine.co.uk/auctions/show/42536.Pauillac is located on the east side of the Medoc peninsular about 25 miles north of the city of Bordeaux. It is probably the most prestigious appellation in Bordeaux with 18 Grand Cru Classe in the 1855 classification.Chateau Lynch-Moussas [www.lynch-moussas.com ] is a fifth growth in that classification. It takes its name from the Irish Lynch family who owned both this and Chateau Lynch-Bages in the 18th century but it has been owned by the Casteja family since 1919.The wine consists of 70% cabernet sauvignon and 30%merlot and is aged in oak barrels.I started my bottle the other evening with my pork chop supper and I enjoyed it.There is a lot of intense liquorice, cherry or blackberry like fruit there and it seems to be well structured and put together. The tannins had softened up a little on the second evening but it was still a lovely wine. This is definitely a quality product
