A beguiling bordeaux that isn't shy about its vanilla oak. Spiced plums are impossible to miss and the style is far from flamboyant, but reserved with a handful of grip on the finish. Classically pair with a fat ribeye steak and sautéed onions. Ranked 5th Cru in 1855 classification.
Der Wein zeigt sich harmonisch ausgewogen, beeindruckt durch seine tiefdunkle, fast schwarze Farbe und zeiget sich grosszügig und verschwenderisch in Bouquet und Geschmack. Viel würzige Frucht mit Röstaromen und Vanille vom Holzeinsatz. Im Mund entlädt sich die Kraft der Tannine, aber ohne die geringste Agressivität. Der Wein ist voll, seidig und elegant mit schöner Struktur.
Thick in the glass with a dark purple core and fuchsia rim. Coffee aromas up front backed by dark cherry and blackberry fruits with lighter violet and floral notes. Berry Bros & Rudd review: Almost as good as their awe-inspiring 2005. Since winemaker Nicolas Labenne<br/>joined Lynch-Bages from Calon-Ségur the wines here have been better than<br/>ever; no longer the `poor man's Mouton' but increasingly almost as good!<br/>Impressive, aethereal aromatics and some serious minerally cassis set the tone<br/>for this rich, silky-textured Pauillac with oodles of sweet black cherry and<br/>blackberry essence and coffee hints. With George Clooney-like charm, a ripe but<br/>substantial tannic structure, and an intense, mouthwatering long finish this<br/>respects the vintage but definitely outperforms it.
