In 1919, the grandfather of Marc Ducau, already owner of the castle Pontac to Loupiac, buys the castle Loupiac, renamed Loupiac-Gaudiet, Gaudiet being the name of the plot of land of the vine behind the castle. In 1964, Marc Ducau takes back the estate. His nephew Daniel Sanfourche comes to assist him in 1986, joins by his wife in 1991. Daniel is a manager of the estate since 1995 and was joined by his son Nicolas in 2014. The vineyard is located on hillsides, overhanging the Garonne. The middle-aged vineyard of 40 years extends over a 28 hectare surface. The semillon dominates the grape varieties in 90 %, completed by 10 % of sauvignon.
