Château Liversan:
This 39 hectare property is one of the original  'Cru Bourgeois' estates from 1932 and has a long history at one point being owned by the Marquis de Latreene but was bought by the Lapalu family in 1995. It is located in the commune of Saint Sauveur near Pauillac. Claude Lapalu was originally from Algeria but came to France and bought Chateau Patache d'Aux in 1964. He and his family subsequently bought other Bordeax estates

A good wine with a very dry character, so much so that it's tough to find much flavor. Has a dark, plum taste with a finish of oak and maybe some cranberry. A good wine which I enjoyed and would happily drink again.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon 50% Merlot. The property is very near Pauillac. The wine has aged in oak barrels for 12 months. Ripe fruit currants and tobacco aromas follow through to a full-bodied palate with velvet tannins and a long finish.
