- Lively, deep purple colour. Too dense for much nose at this stage. Some smoked meat. Quite playful for a Léoville Las Cases. Flirtatious texture and very well hidden tannins. Just enough acid for those tannins. Big, solid and inky. Slightly similar ripe, solid style to Mouton's. Very long. The most youthful wine of the vintage, though far from the most charming.
