Tasted January 2008: Certainly among the best 1997 Bordeaux I have tasted. Deep hue with some brick colour towards the rim, marvellously fragrant bouquet, textbook Saint-Julien taste and fresh, elegant, slightly oaky aftertaste. No signs of dilution. A stunning 1997 for mid-term drinking (best before 2010).

The elegant, spice box, cedary, oaky, red and black currant-scented and flavored 1997 Leoville Barton reveals surprising softness, medium body, low acidity, and ripe tannin. Drink it over the next decade. I would not be surprised to see it improve in... Robert Parker's Wine Advocate. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1997 Leoville-Barton 750ml

Dunkles Granat mit lila Reflexen. Nach Kirschen riechendes Bouquet, schlanker, eleganter Gaumenaufbau, langgezogener Körper.
