- Chateau Le Prieure was purchased in 1897 by the grandfather of the current owner, Baronne Guichard. The Estate has remarkable southern exposure which helps to create ideal growing conditions. The soil is typical of the St. Emilion Coast, hardened limestone covered with clay at the surface.A traditional method of winemaking is used, regular plowing, precise pruning, manual harvests and fermentation with new oak barrels.
