Château le Devoy Martine Lirac 2006
Winemaker = Veronique Lombardo. Lirac is located across the Rhône river from Châteauneuf-du-Pape. It is known for lively, fruity red wines. The appellation is small, and most of the wine is consumed by connoisseurs in France. The climate is Mediterranean and the soils are dominated by alluvial deposits left by the Rhône over the millennia. Fossils turn up regularly while working the vineyards, proof that this area was once underwater.
RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
