Winemaker's Notes:

"The 2008 reveals supple tannins along with delicious, up-front smoky barbecue notes intermixed with black cherry and black currant fruit. This medium-bodied, silky 2008 is ideal for consuming over the next 2-3 years."-Robert Parker

Purple core and opaquish intensity in color. There is some new oak and crushed berry on the nose with some concentration in the mid-palate. It is a modern wine with some length and reminds me of the Right Bank dominated by black fruits. Andy Frieden. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2008 Croix Mouton Bordeaux Superieur 750ml

Bordeaux, FranceChateau Croix-Mouton Bordeaux Superieur is an ascending red wine gem from one of the Bordeaux estates owned by Jean-Philippe Janoueix, this one from the excellent 2008 vintage. It is a blend made from low yields of 87% Merlot and 13% Cabernet Franc. This wine received a 90-point rating from Robert Parker, making it an outstanding value in red Bordeaux. Chateau Croix-Mouton is dark ruby-purple in color with a beautiful nose of blackberry, blueberry, charcoal and sweet spices. Full-bodied with moderate acidity, beautiful texture and soft tannins, this Bordeaux offers rich flavors of plums, blackberries and spice. It is nicely balanced to be enjoyed now and over the next 5-6 years. The finish is long and velvety smooth.Enjoy Chateau Croix-Mouton with filet mignon, roast duck, ratatouille, and ripe cheeses.
