Château le Bourdieu is a 19th century wine estate in the village of Valeyrac in the Médoc region of Bordeaux, France. The wines had the distinction of being featured in the second edition of the Féret wine directory, and were given Cru Bourgeois classification in 1932. The vineyard’s advantageous location near the mouth of the Gironde river ensures moderations in temperature and humidity, helping to grow more balanced grapes. The small production wine is an even 50/50 balance of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which spends 12 months in oak. The second wine from this producer is Château Bois-Cardon.  Read less
