Dark and ripe, with tar, blackberry and wet earth aromas. Full-bodied and chewy, with loads of fruit and a long finish. A big juicy red. Best Bon-Pasteur in years... Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2000 Bon Pasteur 750ml
Tasted at the chbteau with Dany Rolland as part of a vertical. The 2000 Le Bon Pasteur is more introverted on the nose than the 1998 surly black fruits tightly coiled a little briary and wild hedgerow. Blackcurrant wine gums developing with time and then a hint of liquorices after five minutes. The palate is full-bodied firm tannins real concentration similar mouthfeel to the 1998 due to the fineness of the tannins and the acidity. The finish has good grip wonderful poise blackberry pain grille sous-bois and a touch of dried lemon lending it vivacity and an edge. Long-term potential. Tasted September 2009.
