Château Lavergne-Dulong is a wine estate in the Bordeaux region of France. It was built by a wealthy trader in the style of an English manor house in 1873 on the site of an 18th century farm. Vines were planted here at the same time and there are references to grapes and winemaking etched in the flourishes of the original buildings. Sylvie Dulong took over the family business in 2008 and began making a new generation of wines beginning with the 2010 vintage. She set to uprooting underperforming root stocks and replacing them with more suitable vines. Since 2009, the winery has been dedicated to organic viticulture, with portions of the vineyard farmed biodynamically. The cellar and production house were also updated to make the best of the quality fruit. The result are value-driven wines that express the true essence of their varietals and terroir. Read less
