Winemaker's Notes:

In 2007 Les Forts de Latour has produced a wine that is comfortably of SecondGrowth quality. It is an elegant, feminine Les Forts rather than a tannicbeast, perfectly harnessing the finest aspects of the vintage. The nose isbrooding and serious, while on the palate the wine explodes with sweetmouthfilling cassis and cool precise blackberries with licorice and coffeehints. Made from 59% Cabernet Sauvignon and 41% Merlot this is creamy andrefined with very supple tannins. It may not reach the dizzy heights of the2005 but in the context of the vintage it is excellent.
