Château Lascombes Margaux 2005

For the money this is an incredible expression of Bordeaux. Hints of earth and spice on a solid foundation. Well balanced tannins give this beauty a nice textured mouth feel without being overly aggressive. Subtle fruit is complimented with herbal accents and wet leather.

Chateau Lascombes is ranked in the Deuxieme (second) tier of the Medoc 1855 Classification and is a perpetual top performer among the world's greatest Bordeaux. In the monumental 2005 vintage the winemaking team of Alain Raynaud and Michel Rolland turned out what may the best wine this chateua has ever produced.
