This is one Bordeaux that's definitely "Superieur!" Deep blackberry and black currant fruit, cracked pepper, anise and firm, structured tannins. In a time where New World reds are pushing 16% alcohol, the Larsan manages to overdeliver on flavor while keeping the heat in check (under 13%). Perfect for pairing with subtle as well as savory dishes.

Many customers are frustrated by the lack of information available on European wine labels - but the Chateau Larsan Bordeaux Supérieur has nothing to hide. It's a blend of 60% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc, harvested in the stupendous 2005 vintage, made and bottled at the château according to the exacting standards of the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation. The resulting wine is rich and smooth, with deep black currant, blueberry and raspberry fruit flavors, highlighted by gentle oak and subtle spice. An excellent table wine, designed to complement lamb, beef and braised pork dishes, as well as hearty meat and vegetable stews.
