Chateau Larose de Gruaud St. Julien 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Dark yet brilliant ruby, between purple and black. The complex nose at first suggests notes of light tobacco and cigar box, and then opens up to notes of roasted coffee, red fruits, spices, and prunes. Ample and fleshy in the mouth, with plenty of body and density.

Plummy and perfumed, with sweet spices and currants. Lovely subtle nose. Full- to medium-bodied, with fine tannins and lovely balance. Ripe and pretty fruit. Could get even better. —J.S. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2008 Gruaud Larose 750ml

Barrel sample. Good density here, structured, with some jammy sweet fruits as well as a dark layer of dense tannins. The potential is well for a well balanced wine. R.V. Wine Enthusiast. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2008 Gruaud Larose 750ml
