81% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc. A broad and full bodied wine that is delicious right now. Ripe aromatics of bittersweet chocolate, black fruits and some savory stuff. Very juicy and layered. A showstopper. Stephane Derenoncourt consults. Chuck Hayward. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Larcis-Ducasse 3000ml

A solid wine, with blueberry, minerals and spice character. Solid core of ripe, juicy fruit and firm, silky tannins with a fruity finish. Yet, reserved and refined. Try it in 2017. James Suckling. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 Larcis-Ducasse 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

An intense, lifted perfume, from the 19% Cabernet Franc, burst from the glass
upon tasting this wine whilst the supple elegance of perfectly ripe (but not
overripe) 81% Merlot added a fine, silky balance. The stylish, ripe tannins
then melted away leaving a long, long finish with a Ribena kick at the end.
Simply delicious.
