Chateau Lanessan Haut Medoc-Organic 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

This is another very good effort from this consistent property that turns out wines that are often very close to classified-growth quality. Dark ruby/purple-tinged with cedary, black currant notes intermixed with roasted herbs and underbrush, this medium-bodied wine displays excellent concentration and relatively sweet tannins.Robert Parker Wine Advocate

The color is a beautiful garnet of youth. The nose is first on the freshness, without the aggression of a Cabernet Sauvignon. Nothing too serious, because it changes very quickly on the black fruits. When shaken, the berries arrive (gooseberry, raspberry, cherry). In the mouth, acid on the fabric of the nose. Deserves to be served at 18 ° C. No alcohol nor marked by the barrel. Maturity: Drink now Maturity: The lack of rough tannins makes it a seductive wine today. Already bodied. An aging would just bring in more secondary aromas at the expense of a fruity alive.

A spicy, medium-bodied red wine from Bordeaux that's a welcome match to meat-based fare. This is full of mixed cherries, tobacco and cocoa with solid, but approachable, tannins on the finish.
