The owners of Château Garraud also own this property, and make this wine at their châteaux, the cleanest, most meticulously organized one we've ever seen. The wine is juicy but extremely well-balanced, with good acidity, some new wood flavors, and a long finish. The winemaker thinks it will develop in bottle for 10-12 years and then plateau for a long time.

Intense color, purple highlights. Concentrated nose of ripe red and black fruits intermingled with a toasty, chocolaty note. Dense in the mouth, the tannins are present, enveloped by fatness and freshness. A concentrated style from this generous vintage that speaks for itself. Nice length. Optimum drinking: 2006–2007.
