Château Lafont-Fourcat Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Contrôlée 2010
External Reviews for Château Lafont-Fourcat Red Bordeaux Blend Bordeaux Contrôlée
Brilliant violet color, almost opaque in the glass. Seductive cassis liqueur flavors mingle with subtle, earthy, typically Bordeaux aromas. Medium-full body with fine tannins and plenty of weight.
Translated from the old Latin, this is ldquo; The House of an Elephant and Four Cats.rdquo; Since they kicked out the elephant and the cats (laws in Bordeaux only permit three cats for every one elephant), they now have the room to make great wine. Full-bodied, with flavors of raspberry, currant, and spice, this wine has a modern flair while still retaining that classic Bordeaux style. Pair with anything from the grill; just donrsquo;t let the elephant see you drinking this Bordeaux (hersquo;s still mad about getting kicked out).
Unbelievable value and a simply great tasting Bordeaux! In our January blind tasting of seventeen rsquo;05 vintage Bordeaux arrivals, this wine came out on top! Terrific density and beautiful color, with nice dark fruit, plum and raspberry notes, and a full and round texture on the palate, ending in silky tannins.
