Food Pairings for Château Labourdette
Deep purple in colour. Heady nose of dark berry slightly musty. Taste of oak, very dry. Let decant two hours after first tasting it. Smell of prunes comes out. The dryness and tanins have leveled out a bit. The wine is still a little on the "ruff" side. I had two bottles, im going to hang on to the second one for as long as I can, Parker recommends 15 years.

This is a nifty wine with FLAVOR and character. Not a mouthy wine, it is slightly "camphory", but makes a real impression. Dry. Great value
Open the bottle for about 1 hour. Fruity, fresh .. I enjoy it. Surprised this wine has such bad review :-)
Really enjoyed it. Had 2 bottles from WSJ wines and thought it was the best Bordeaux. Went very well with lamb chops and also with a rib eye steak.
This was a disappointing wine being the year. The color was pleasant, but there wasn't really anything on the nose. The taste was pretty hot on the back end, but other than that, nothing.
