- Tasted December 2007: Deeply coloured, still monolithic nose which needs a lot of air to show some fruit and a whiff of violets. In the mouth cool and a bit foursquare for a Margaux of a great vintage, but substantial and with a lot of strength. Still young and unevolved, the aftertaste has loads of tannin and not yet entirely integrated oak. I wonder whether this wine will ever become soft and elegant; if it does, it could deserve 4 stars in the future. Do not open before 2010.
