Robert Parker rates this wine a 90-93 and its close (closer to 90 in my humble opinion), but perhaps a bit overrated. Excellent nose of raisons and dark fruit, but a little hot on the palate. Finishes long, a little spicy, a little oak, and a little wet rock. Overall I enjoyed this wine. You will definately want to let this one breathe before you enjoy it. I have the bottle open for about 2 hours. In fact, I would recommend decanting it before you enjoy it.

Delicious. We had two bottles from our cellar last night. Previously we had tried one about two years ago and at the time we thought it was good after it opened up and had high expectations going forward. It is much more open now out of the bottle with very ripe berry flavors and was a tasty addition to our dinner.

I enjoyed this while listening to the New Years concert in Vienna was on the radio. It was given to me as a present from this past birthday. It was a glorious dark ruby in color damn near to opaque except at the rim which shone like a gem, it was so perfectly clear. On the nose succulent black cherry, marion berry and mushroom. Taste, very dry, high tannin, very full body and a long length, very subtle complexity and as smooth as velvet with hints of past ripe berries disappearing into a mouthwatering dry texture leaving one to think of long lost spices, current teas and a time when velvet fainting couches were comfortable. Outstanding!

This is really beautiful and balanced, with berry and light vanilla character. Full-bodied, densely balanced yet refined and caressing. Beautiful wine. From American owner Colin Ferrenbach. Best after 2006. 4,830 cases made. Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2003 La Vieille Cure 750ml
