Spicy, rich, plummy, with hint of olives, fine tannins, very drinkable, even swiggable. At its peak and holding. Jane from N.C. brought to MoCOOL 2008 (8.16.2008).

This is an impressive wine from a great Bordeaux year. It is beginning to develop its tannins and the huge pure rich black fruit is coming up. But with its acidity its layers of wood flavors and its structure this is a wine which has years ahead of it. Just don t drink it yet however tempting that may be. Wine Enthusiast.
Moderately saturated medium ruby. Raspberry smoke leather and game on the nose. Lush and chewy with pungent flavors of raspberry dark chocolate and exotic spices. Impressively aromatic in the mouth especially in light of the recent bottling. Finishes ripely tannic and quite long. This offers lovely fruit. Stephen Tanzers IWC.
An enormously appealing sexy wine the 2000 exhibits an opaque ruby/purple color along with serious levels of concentrated cranberry black cherry and black currant fruit mixed with smoked herbs licorice and minerals. Once past the gorgeous perfume this medium to full-bodied ripe wine is textured expansive and a total hedonistic as well as intellectual turn-on! Anticipated maturity: Now-2015. Robert Parkers Wine Advocate.
