Many artists are distracted by the landscape of Provence, Van Gogh, Renoir, Matisse, Picasso could not stop painting them. Robert Parker describes this Chateau as “one of the best situated estates, located on a hilly terrain within view of one of the Riviera’s legendary spots, the fishing village and hangout for artists and high society, St Tropez” from his book “The Wine of the Rhone Valley and Provence”. This red wine is another gem made by Château La Tour de l’Evêque (certified by Qualite-France SAS FR BIO). The family has owned the estate and made wine since 1880. Now all the wines are made by the daughter, Regine Sumeire, who has inherited the passion for wine-making from her father.
The grapes are handpicked and sorted by hand according to their polyphenoic ripeness. An aromatic wine of fresh red fruit, vanilla, peppers, and leather. The palate is equally complex with good acid and silky tannin balance with ripe berries, leather, earth, and a long finish.
