We drank on Christmas with a Turkey and it was actually a good combination. Nice wine for the price.
For the price, who can say no? This wine is, in all areas, typical. It does not stand out in any way, good or bad. Very consistent. Nose dominated by ripe plums with just a hint of black cherry. Quite fruity. Extremely smooth moutfeel, almost velvety and follows through to the end. A bit of spiciness at the back of the palette toward the end. Flavor is dominated at the beginning by plums, steadily evolving into an oaky, smoky flavor to the finish. I would call it more medium-bodied than full, thought it makes itself known through the whole experience.
