Château la Papeterie Red Bordeaux Blend Montagne-St. Émilion 2009

Member Review by BasilNew:

Full bodied and rich with a mineral backbone to go along with the sweet tobacco and dark plum fruit. Reminds me of some good Pomerol's, at only half the price. Tasted it young (May 2012), but is ready to drink now.

Today Claude and his son, Charles, are involved in making three wines from the controlled production areas of POMEROL, LALANDE DE POMEROL and MONTAGNE SAINT-ÉMILION. The entire production of about 50,000 bottles is sold by the company « Maison C. Estager et Fils » to private clients and to restaurants in a 80-20 ratio both in France and throughout the world, including Germany, Belgium, China, Hong Kong and Thailand. Maison C.Estager & Fils, together with other winemakers of Bordeaux, would be pleased if you too could enjoy a selection of their best wines. Read less

This 2009 vintage is an awesome bordeaux for the price. Be patient, let this relax and age a few more years, then after opening, decant and let it breath for at least 30 minutes. Enjoy and you'll wish you'd bought more.
