Château la Nerthe Red Rhone Blend Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée des Cadettes 2000
The "Cuvée des Cadettes" was the name originally given to one of Château la Nerthe's cuvées by Commandant Ducos and which was reintroduced in 1986. The name comes from a very old parcel of the vineyard. Included in this cuvée are Grenaches from century-old vines, old Mourvèdres and old Syrahs, all vinified together in a wood pigeage tank. Chateau la Nerthe 2000 Chateauneuf- du –Pape Drank 10/09/11 11 years old decanted for 5 hours before drinking. Cool dark fruit in the mouth and on the nose, No great sign of age the wine is still young and quite solid.
