The "Cuvée des Cadettes" was the name originally given to one of Château la Nerthe's cuvées by Commandant Ducos and which was reintroduced in 1986. The name comes from a very old parcel of the vineyard. Included in this cuvée are Grenaches from century-old vines, old Mourvèdres and old Syrahs, all vinified together in a wood pigeage tank. The maturing takes place exclusively in new barrels.
