Château La Mission Haut-brion:
When the wine is young, the initial sensation is its unctuousness, the softness of a very ripe grape, the freshness of aromas and at the same time the texture of very special tanins. These meld with a trace of mineral in the wine. It is as if the land was in the glass, comprising notes of roasted coffee beans, cocoa and tobacco. This delicate bitterness is somewhat reminiscent of crystallized cherry-stones seeped in spirit. It is certainly a penchant for revealing all its qualities at once that distinguishes the wines of La Mission and pleases a lot of tasters. It is also the consummate expression of the land of the Graves of Pessac. When maturing, this wine is still generous, openly proffering all its qualities. This hedonistic side is one of its most attractive particularities. Read less

There s beautiful sweetness of fruit on the nose with floral and ripe plum undertones. Very aromatic and subtle. Medium- to full-bodied with fine tannins and a delicate fruit finish. Refined. Best after 2013. Wine Spectator.

Aromen von roten Früchten, feine Holznoten. Im Gaumen voll, grosszügig, intensiv, kräftig, komplex und elegant, zarte Tannine, ausgeglichen.

43% Merlot 44% Cabernet Sauvignon 13% Cabernet Franc. The color is dark inky purple almost opaque. The fruit is black berry and plum framed in mocha and caramelized toffee nougat. The palate is medium to full bodied with a beautiful attack of bright and pure red and black fruits with a hint of mocha chocolate framed in by well integrated tannins. I put this one at the top of my list for the vintage of First Growths along with Chateau Latour. Fat mid-palate and richness with plus concentration

Bright ruby-red. Pure but youthfully inexpressive nose hints at raspberry and tobacco after extended aeration. Sweet suave and pliant with a silky texture perked up by minerality and lifted by a spicy component. Really lovely consistent ripeness here showing neither roasted nor green qualities. Took on a more floral character with air. This superbly elegant wine really saturates the palate and lingers. Tannins are fine and sweet. Stephen Tanzers IWC.

Dark purple color. Fruity nose fresh and of ripe type. Aromatic and fine. Fat on entry the wine develops both with volume and flesh on a body of nice size appearing tasty with a lovely touch fine tannins and a powerful finish. The length is good and aromatic. Jean-Marc Quarin - www.quarin.com

(48% cabernet sauvignon, 43% merlot and 9% cabernet franc) Good full red-ruby. Complex aromas of black raspberry, mocha, smoke, licorice, minerals and flint, plus a whiff of caramel. Juicy, spicy and penetrating, with lovely cut and intensity. Leaner... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2007 Mission Haut Brion, La 750ml

Complex aromas of lilacs, honey, pineapple, papaya and cream follow through to a full body, with incredible intensity on the palate. Lasts for minutes.
