At the Chateau la Levrette, brother and sister, Arthur and Laetitia Mauriac are busy expanding upon the renown of their family name in France, which has been well-known already through several generations.
The mother of Arthur and Laetitia is a member of the Mahler-Besse family, owner of the world famous Château Palmer (3rd Grand Cru Classé of Margaux). Vineyard Notes
The Chateau la Levrette delivers a Super Premium Bordeaux wine with a new estate vineyard strategically located in the right bank Blaye appellation of Bordeaux. The family’s rigorous standards for growing the highest quality grapes and producing world-class wine with exceptional value are evident in its 7 hectare (17 acres) vineyard devoted to la Levrette. The very limited production at the Chateau, less than 2 000 cases a year, signifies its dedication to low-yield grapes and high quality wine.

This wine is deep intense purple with rich ripe fruit and integrated oak. Complex and integrated. Many fine polished tannins and excellent length.

Dégustation: Un vin puissant, raffiné, d’une grande complexité aromatique. Son équilibre parfait étonnera les plus fins dégustateurs. Vinifié pour tenir une longue garde, la Levrette rouge saura également satisfaire les amateurs de vins vieux. Vin avec des reflets rubis, contours intenses et vif au nez. Il développe des arômes de fruits noirs, d’épices et de vanille. Ce vin possède un très beau volume en bouche avec des tannins ronds et soyeux. La finale est longue.
A servir à 18-20°C.
