Château la Gurgue Red Bordeaux Blend Margaux 2009
The 2006 La Gurgue is creamy, soft and sensual - a true Margaux - but lacks a little finesse. But do not be deterred: this is a decent Bordeaux - redolent of blackberry and stem with a soft cassis entry and finish. Some acerbity on the back palate, but tannins fading. Drinking well now, but will keep to 2016 and beyond. A good expression of the region. 88 points.

Blueberries, raspberries, licorice, and flowers on the nose. Full body, with ultra-fine tannins and a racy and long finish. This is a wine, with form and finesse. Best ever from here. Try after 2018. James Suckling. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2009 La Gurgue 750ml
Has lots of plummy and ripe fruit, with hints of meat and spice. Full-bodied, soft and round, with lovely coffee and berry flavors.
