"Wine Spectator 92: Wonderful aromas of freshly cut flowers, raspberries and blackberries. Full-bodied, with super refined tannins and a long, caressing finish. All in finesse. This is one I always like. Best after 2010."" (04/03) Robert Parker 88: ""Atypically powerful, the concentrated, medium to full-bodied 2000 displays more tannin and structure than usual as well as abundant concentration and sweet black cherry fruit. It is more structured and backward than the gorgeous 1998 (still the finest La Grave a Pomerol I have ever tasted, and a candidate to be read more...called a ""petit Petrus""). The 2000 should prove to be uncommonly long-lived by the standards of this estate. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2017."" (04/03) Steven Tanzer 89: Medium red. Cool yet ripe aromas of raspberry, cherry, licorice and minerals. Sweet and intensely flavored, with hints of tobacco and smoked meat. Nicely full and balanced wine, finishing with sweet but firm tannins and very good length. (6/03) Decanter 3 Stars: Fragrant floral-fruit nose, suave and quite chewy on the palate, good length with freshness on the finish. Ready 2008-2010. (tasted en primeur) Clive Coates 16.5 """
