Chateau la Garde Pessac-Leognan 2009
Ch. la Garde used to be a more Merlot-dominant wine but the blend is now
changing in favour of Cabernet Sauvignon with excellent results in 2009. Juicy,
ripe, creamy blackberries mingle on the palate with sweet spice and lead to a
complex, savoury finish. The Cabernet has added much valued freshness here
making this already very moreish.
Blackcurrant and black cherry fruit, combined with cedar, tobacco, and mint. It showed good acidity and ripe tannins to balance it out, so overall provides everything I would look for in a good Bordeaux. Great QPR.
