Château la Fon du Berger Haut-Médoc 2005

Member Review by duncan 906:

I bought two bottles of this from www.bidforwine.com for 25 pounds and had the first the other evening. It is a blend of 60% cabernet sauvignon,30% merlot and 5% each of cabernet franc and petit verdot aged for12-14 months in oak barrels 50% of them new.I thought it fruity yet mellow and the quality certainly deserving of its Cru Bourgeois status.I am happy to recomend it to my fellow Snooth members

A solid red Bordeaux that's drinking well today. Medium-bodied with broad aromas of blackcurrants and spice. Based mostly on Cabernet Sauvignon with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
