External Reviews for Château la Fleur Peyrabon Red Bordeaux Blend Pauillac
A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 2006 La Fleur Peyrabon, Chateau 750ml
The color is a blackish red with a purple rim, and the nose offers cool yet ripe black fruits and good depth and reserve. In the mouth, the wine opens slowly, then shows substantial substance, and is defined by well managed tannins. Very well balanced and not at all severe, the 2006 continues the string of solid successes from this property. Tasted from barrel April '07.
This 12-acre property is one of the few crus bourgeois of this celebrated commune and forms a small portion of a larger vineyard which is classified as Haut Medoc and marketed as 'Chateau Peyrabon'. This estate is planted with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot, 30 years old on average, which is hand harvested and sorted. The 2003 vintage was awarded the French Red Wine Trophy at London's prestigious 2006 International Wine Challenge . One of Millesima's favorite Bordeaux and best values.
