Château la Couronne Pauillac Rouge 2005

Winemaker's Notes:

Yields at Château La Couronne are quite low and the wine is kept on the skins for a long time. It is very fruity and technologically flawless - a very attractive wine. Its elegant, well-integrated oak, and finesse make La Couronne very enjoyable in its youth.

Crushed blackberry notes, with hints of dark chocolate and mineral, follow through to a full body, with chewy tannins and a long finish of fruit and vanilla. There's very bright acidity in this. Still needs to come together in the bottle. Best after 2012. 5,000 cases made. -JS
