Château la Conseillante Red Bordeaux Blend Pomerol 1982

Winemaker's Notes:

5 stars, Michael Broadbent's Pocket Vintage Wine Companion: A magnificent wine. My last bottle, sheer perfection. Why try to describe it? Last tasted Dec 1999. 19/20 points Clive Coates (The Wines of Bordeaux): Full colour. Marvellous nose. Really perfumed and classy. Aromatic and flowery; violets. Fullish body. Velvety and concentrated. Not a bit tough. Just silky-smooth and very, very concentrated. Really brilliant. Marvellous. Still very, very fresh. Drink: Now-2020+. (2004)

Medium red with an amber rim. Exotic aromas of plum, cherry, roast coffee, tobacco leaf and woodsmoke. Sweet, silky and suave, with lovely inner-mouth perfume. More subtle and sophisticated than most right-bank 82s, with solid underlying structure. ... Stephen Tanzers IWC. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1982 Conseillante, La 750ml

Big and rich. Dark brick-red color, with a ruby center. Very ripe fruit on the nose, with raisin, dark chocolate and earth. Lots of tobacco and cherry flavors and velvety, slightly coarse tannins.--1982 Bordeaux horizontal. Best after 2000. -... Wine Spectator. A Bordeaux Blend wine from Bordeaux in France. 1982 Conseillante, La 750ml
